Of the 11 Montreal boroughs with metro access, 31 stations will be equipped with an elevator by 2022 - that is, except for in the borough of Verdun! Elevators allow for persons with reduced mobility and parents with strollers to use the metro. The De l'Église metro station located on a significant commercial artery, close to a hospital, the future Verdun beach (universally accessible) and the auditorium (universally accessible after renovations) is the busiest station in Verdun. We are asking that the STM integrate De L'Église metro to its network of universally accessible stations by 2022. Add your voice to ours by signing our petition!
